The National Cashew Association of Nigeria (NCAN) has announced that the 2026 Nigerian Cashew Day Conference will focus on growing the country’s cashew industry and creating more opportunities for farmers and agribusinesses.
In a statement signed by its National President, Dr Ojo Joseph Ajanaku, the association stated that the conference will drive meaningful reforms, attract investment, and strengthen collaboration among key stakeholders in Nigeria’s cashew sector.
According to NCAN, the national executive committee is working closely with state chapters to ensure full alignment in delivering what it described as a landmark event capable of repositioning the industry for competitiveness and sustainable growth.
The conference, scheduled to take place from January 22 to 24, 2026, at the Shehu Musa Ya’Adua Centre, Abuja, is expected to bring together cashew farmers, processors, exporters, investors and development partners from across the country and beyond.
NCAN stated that the event would serve as a strategic rallying point to address productivity challenges, improve value addition, and strengthen linkages across the cashew value chain from farm-level production to export markets.
The association expressed confidence that outcomes from the conference would translate into practical actions that enhance investment flows, market access and Nigeria’s position in the global cashew trade.
Reaffirming its commitment, NCAN noted that stakeholder trust and participation remain critical to achieving sustainable growth in the sector.
“The interest of Nigeria and the collective advancement of the cashew sector remain our utmost priority,” the statement said.
“This conference will catalyse meeting the aspirations of farmers, processors, exporters, investors and development partners, while strengthening collaboration across the value chain.”
