Summary

The Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development  CJID invites journalists, editors, and civil society communicators to a two-day virtual training and story lab. This program will strengthen the capacity to report on the intersection of climate change, agricultural productivity, and public policy.

Requirements

  • A climate agriculture story pitch (using the CJID template).
  • Freelancers: Links to previously published relevant work.
  • Newsrooms: Applications must be submitted via an editor/manager.
  • Note: For team applications, only the lead applicant attends the virtual training.

Who Should Apply

  • Reporters, editors, and media-focused CSOs based in Nigeria.
  • Applicants with experience in investigative, accountability, and data journalism.
  • Individuals or teams (max 3 people) with a focus on agriculture or climate.
  • Female journalists and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are strongly encouraged to apply.
