The Ekiti State Coordinator of the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), Sunday Adunmo, has distributed bags of fertiliser to farmers in Oye Local Government Area.
The distribution took place in Ilupeju-Ekiti as part of ongoing efforts to boost food production and improve agricultural yields.
Speaking at the event, Adunmo said the initiative was designed “to ensure food security and promote agriculture in the local government and the state.”
Represented by his Special Adviser on Political Matters, Ogunjobi Ariyo, the RAAMP Coordinator emphasized that the fertiliser support aligns with Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s agenda to strengthen the agricultural sector and lower food prices.
Adunmo reaffirmed his office’s commitment to continuously support local farmers and urged recipients to apply the fertiliser responsibly.
“This intervention will maximise harvests and strengthen food security in the area,” he said.
In their separate remarks, Chief Samuel Ogunsakin, APC Chairman in Oye LGA; Oluyemi Isikaye, Special Adviser to the Governor on Political Mobilisation; and Chief Samuel Alonge, an elder of the party, all praised the initiative as timely and impactful for rural development.
