China’s Agriculture Ministry announced Friday that it has released 1.4 billion yuan ($194.42 million) in central government funding designated for disaster prevention and assistance in agricultural production has recently been disbursed.
According to the statement, the Agriculture and Finance Ministries will fund 30 provinces, including Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, and Henan.
This financial aid package reflects China’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its agricultural sector, which faces challenges from climate-related disasters. The ministry emphasised that the funds will help farmers in affected regions maintain productivity and safeguard food security.
The statement did not disclose further details on the distribution process and specific projects.
