Amoke Oge, a local food vendor, has achieved a significant milestone by completing 500,000 deliveries worth N2.3 billion on Chowdeck, one of Nigeria’s leading meal delivery platforms, the company announced on Tuesday.

Based on an average order value of N4,600, the figure was highlighted in a video shared on Chowdeck’s official X account.

The achievement marks Amoke Oge as the first woman-led business to reach this volume of deliveries on the platform, underscoring the growing role of digital marketplaces in Nigeria’s food service sector.

Owned by Hajia Amoke Odukoya, Amoke Oge was among the first 100 vendors to join the platform, having been onboarded about two to three years ago.

“Amoke Oge just became the first woman-led business to hit 500,000 deliveries on Chowdeck,” the company stated, noting that CEO Femi Aluko personally congratulated the vendor to celebrate the milestone.

This success follows another recent achievement for Chowdeck, with vendor Korede Spaghetti reaching N1 billion in sales earlier this month at the University of Lagos.

The platform, founded in 2021, has grown rapidly, boasting over 1.5 million users and 20,000 riders across 11 Nigerian cities. It is digitalising  Nigeria’s unorganised food sector by providing small and medium-sized food sellers with the means to expand outside their local communities.

The startup’s dependable, technologically advanced food delivery model has entered a new market with the official debut of operations in Ghana. The company implemented a tiered reward system, a customer referral program, and other promotional incentives to promote adoption and create early momentum in the Ghanaian market.
