Summary

The Technical Regulatory Officer is responsible for managing the registration, renewal, and regulatory compliance of the company’s agrochemical products. The role oversees product sampling, launches, quality compliance, and regulatory documentation while serving as a key liaison between the company and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, manufacturers, research institutes, and legal partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage agrochemical product development, registration, modification, and renewals
• Engage and liaise with regulatory bodies and agro-research institutes
• Coordinate with product manufacturers and external partners
• Work with legal teams on notarisation, trademarks, and regulatory documentation
• Support product label development and marketing material design
• Coordinate product trials and field demonstrations
• Gather and analyse market and competitor intelligence to inform strategy
• Develop and maintain a robust quality compliance management system
• Support digital marketing initiatives for agrochemical products
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely product clearance and delivery

Requirements

• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Biology, Chemistry, or related fields
• 3–5 years’ experience in agrochemical development and product registration
• Proven experience engaging with regulatory agencies such as NAFDAC, SON, NESREA, Customs, and agro-research institutes is highly preferred

Skills 

• Strong record-keeping and documentation skills
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• High attention to quality and regulatory detail
