Summary
IITA is seeking a GIS & Meteorological Officer to manage and maintain weather station networks, collect and analyse meteorological data, and deliver high-quality geospatial and remote sensing products. 

The role involves supporting research projects, supervising interns and students, and coordinating educational activities at the Ibadan campus.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and maintain automatic and conventional weather stations.
• Collect, process, and analyse meteorological and GIS data.
• Conduct drone/UAV data acquisition and produce maps and spatial products.
• Supervise interns, NYSC members, and students in the GIS Laboratory.
• Support diverse IITA projects with geospatial analysis and remote sensing.

Requirement

• BSc in Geography, Meteorology, Environmental Science, Geoinformatics, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in GIS, meteorology, or related roles.
• Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS/QGIS), remote sensing tools, and meteorological instrumentation.
  
• Knowledge of R/Python for data analysis and drone/UAV operations is desirable.
• Strong analytical, organisational, communication, and supervisory skills.
