Summary

GIZ is seeking a skilled and Technical Advisor to support its cluster of global programmes, AgSys, GP ClimA, and FO Hub West in agricultural and food systems in Nigeria and the wider West Africa region. 

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement gender-related activities under AgSys (Output 3 & 5) and coordinate CSO and youth engagement for GP ClimA and FO Hub West.
  • Oversee the technical and monitoring implementation of project tasks related to civil society, gender, and youth engagement across the agricultural and food systems transformation cluster.
  • Manage and steer grant agreements with partner NGOs and farmer organisations, ensuring compliance and effective collaboration.
  • Coordinate knowledge management, documentation, reporting, and dissemination of project results and lessons.
  • Organise and facilitate workshops, seminars, and stakeholder events focused on gender, CSO participation, and advocacy.
  • Support the communication and public relations activities for the projects.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Communication, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in relevant areas: agricultural or food systems policy, climate change, gender empowerment, CSO engagement, or development work.
  • Proven experience in CSO / youth/gender empowerment and engagement.
