In an attempt to increase food production throughout the state, the Oyo State government has reaffirmed its unflinching support for farmers who export their produce.
This was said by Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade, during a visit to his office by the Agricultural Exporting Farmers Multipurpose Cooperatives Society and Credit Investments (CICS) Ltd.
Notwithstanding the difficulties, especially the recent tariff increase enforced by the US government, the Commissioner praised the group for its tenacity and commitment to expanding agricultural product exports.
He pointed out that a nation with a faltering economy like Nigeria has a much greater burden.
Oyelade promised the organisation that the ministry would help them, particularly by using its position to promote goods grown locally.
He underlined the importance of these initiatives in promoting economic expansion and supporting the state’s farmers.
The president of the Agricultural Exporting Farmers Multipurpose (CICS) Ltd., Mrs. Bolanle Oketade, stated in her remarks that the organisation was founded to enhance agricultural goods and raise farmers’ incomes in the state.
She expressed her appreciation for the Ministry’s unwavering support, including the upcoming product launch. The event, she continued, is intended to raise awareness of the benefits of locally made products.
