Eighty women and youth in Oba-Oke, Olorunda LGA, Osun State, have been empowered by the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) through its Renewed Hope Women and Youth Empowerment Program.
During the event, which NALDA’s Executive Secretary/CEO attended, each recipient was given two cages, twenty 3-week-old birds, and four bags of chicken feed. Off-takers will purchase mature birds as part of the initiative’s rotating poultry strategy, with the proceeds going back into the program to help other members.
The initiative is a component of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda, which aims to use agriculture to create sustainable economic opportunities.
