In a renewed effort to clean up public areas, the Lagos State Government has discovered an illegal cattle breeding business under the Oja Oba Underbridge in Adeniji Adele. This prompted a 24-hour eviction notice to all squatters.
The finding came during a clearance operation led by the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who described the occupancy as a flagrant misuse of public infrastructure with significant environmental and security consequences.
Wahab shared a video from the scene on X, saying, “It is distressing to see livestock being raised under a public bridge. This raises serious hazards and will not be permitted.
All unauthorised buildings and improvised shelters must be cleared within 24 hours or face enforcement action.
Furthermore, the Lagos State Government is still devoted to reclaiming public places, maintaining order, and prohibiting illegal activities that jeopardise the city’s urban development and environmental health.
