The Kano State Assembly has approved five modified bills to create the offices of the Deputy Managing Director for five important state agencies.

They include;

1. Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (Amendment) Bill 2025
2. Kano State Water Resources and Engineering Construction Agency (Amendment) Bill 2025
3. Kano State Broadcasting Corporation (Amendment) Bill 2025
4. Kano State Television Corporation (Amendment) Bill 2025
5. Kano Printing Press (Amendment) Bill 2025

The affected agencies are:

1. Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority
2. Kano State Water Resources and Engineering Construction Agency
3. Kano State Broadcasting Corporation
4. Kano State Television Corporation
5. Kano Printing Press 

The legislation was approved following a third reading by Clerk Bashir Diso and a review in the Committee of the Whole House.

Majority Leader Hon. Lawan Husseini explained the importance of the modifications by saying that the establishment of Deputy Managing Director offices would guarantee agency activities would continue without interruption in the event of the principal officer’s absence.
